Overview.

A full sleeve of interlocking geometric bands — the client's brief was simply "something architectural". Dorian composed alternating solid and linework registers so the arm reads differently from every angle.

CHALLENGE

Heavy black over a full arm risks a muddy, undifferentiated mass. The composition reserves two breathing bands of untouched skin that carry the whole design's contrast.

APPROACH

Five sessions across four months: framework, upper pack, lower pack, detail, then a final density pass after full healing. Two years on, the edges remain razor.
