How custom tattoo designs begin.

BY JUNO REYES · 4 MIN READ

Every custom piece at Nightbloom starts the same way: not with a pencil, but with a conversation. Here is exactly what happens between your first message and the first sketch line.

The message that helps most

Send us three things: what the piece means to you in a sentence or two, where on your body you imagine it, and two or three references showing the feeling — not necessarily tattoos. A photograph, a textile, a building. Mood beats mimicry.

The consultation hour

We print your references large, test placements at true scale on your body, and sketch live directions while you react. Most clients arrive uncertain and leave with a clear favourite — that clarity is the product you are buying.

First directions, then refinement

Within a week you receive the first sketch directions — usually two paths, not one, so you can feel the difference. Then come two full revision rounds: scale, detail, flow. We iterate until the drawing feels inevitable.

The stencil is the contract

On session day the final artwork is placed on your skin at full scale and adjusted once more. Nothing is tattooed that you have not approved in the mirror. That moment — stencil on, doubt gone — is the real start of every piece.
